A relieved looking Ray Mancini thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
In defeat, Vito Scaletta stepped up to the mic, saying 'You know when we first started out, I thought I was gonna be the biggest, baddest wiseguy in the world'.
