Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ahhhh Ahhhh (ranked 6227 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Wood (ranked 6168 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ahhhh Ahhhh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marcus Wood!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Wood enables Ahhhh to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wood manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Wood wants to stand but Ahhhh is controlling the position.

Ahhhh stands up from Wood's guard - Ahhhh perhaps looking for a knockout.
Horrible takedown attempt by Ahhhh or perhaps it was just good defense by Wood, which made it look bad.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Ahhhh.
Wood trying to remain calm as Ahhhh controls from the top position.
Wood tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ahhhh wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Ahhhh closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wood did well to prevent Ahhhh getting side control.

Ahhhh is working for a kimura here but Wood manages to reverse the position and he's now in Ahhhh's guard.

Wood trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Ahhhh utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Ahhhh fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wood avoids it really well and circles away.
Ahhhh is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Wood can do to turn this around?

Ahhhh closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wood quickly recovers to half guard.
Ahhhh not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Ahhhh not doing much here.
Wood has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ahhhh is working away from the top position though.

Ahhhh throws a hook to the side of Wood's head but Wood sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Wood tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ahhhh manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wood buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ahhhh gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Ahhhh circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ahhhh Ahhhh. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wood tries to close the distance and clinch but Ahhhh swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wood fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ahhhh on the side of the head.
Wood ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ahhhh moves away.
Wood dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wood tries to clinch but Ahhhh is having none of it.
Ahhhh wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

and Ahhhh counters with a leg kick.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ahhhh Ahhhh will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Wood misses with a looping right.
Ahhhh is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wood sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ahhhh Ahhhh is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wood throws a sloppy head kick
and Ahhhh counters with a low kick, right behind Wood 's knee.
Ahhhh takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Ahhhh fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wood to the ground. Ahhhh is now in Wood's guard.
Ahhhh Ahhhh overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Ahhhh looking to pass the guard.

Wood has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ahhhh can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ahhhh slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Ahhhh decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

A left and a right from Wood both land. Nice combination.

Ahhhh content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Wood wants to control but Ahhhh is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Well, if Ahhhh is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Ahhhh shoots in for a double leg but Wood sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Wood wants to stand and escape but Ahhhh is having none of it.
Wood lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Ahhhh is looking to stand up but Wood isn't so interested in that idea.
Wood pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ahhhh is keeping the position for now.
Ahhhh looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Ahhhh is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

I would just about give that final round to Marcus Wood.
I think Ahhhh has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
