The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vernon has Holland up against the cage in a clinch.
Vernon looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Vernon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Holland sprawls well. Holland wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vernon gets slowly back to his feet.
Holland drops down looking for a counter takedown but Vernon sprawls and moves away.

Holland is nestled in close to Vernon, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Holland tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Holland has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Holland has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Vernon is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Holland yanks on the arm and Vernon is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Holland.
