Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Abulah Kei!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Feddor Emeliannenko!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emeliannenko looks for a takedown but Kei sprawls well.

Kei darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Kei wants to take a breather but Emeliannenko is having none of it.
Kei thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kei wants to lay and pray for a moment but Emeliannenko keeps working.

Kei slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Emeliannenko lands a big shot there that rocks Kei but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Emeliannenko is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kei has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kei!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Kei lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Emeliannenko circles away quickly and effectively.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Kei is looking to work some ground and pound but Emeliannenko has wrist control.

Kei avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Emeliannenko escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kei gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kei working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
You can see the frustration on Emeliannenko's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kei works to advance to full mount. Emeliannenko defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Abulah Kei has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Feddor Emeliannenko is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Kei content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Abulah Kei.
I think Emeliannenko has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
