Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andres Aguinaldo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sin Choo Jones!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yuuki Gou and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aguinaldo shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Aguinaldo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jones doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Aguinaldo.

Jones is wriggling around trying to escape.
Aguinaldo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Aguinaldo postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jones looks a forlorn figure.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Aguinaldo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The referee warns Jones that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Aguinaldo moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Jones has worked his arm free - good work by Jones!
Jones is trying to escape the position but Aguinaldo is controlling the position.

Jones shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Jones gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jones has his foot on Aguinaldo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Aguinaldo works his way back into a safe position though.

Aguinaldo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Andres Aguinaldo just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Aguinaldo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Aguinaldo misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Jones can't do much from the bottom here.

Aguinaldo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Aguinaldo is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jones's shoulder. That is not cool.

Aguinaldo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jones for as long as he can get away with.
