Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Pernambucano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matti Kuusela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pernambucano kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Samba Rio de Janeiro. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight stays on the outside here - Kuusela looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pernambucano shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kuusela as he jumps to the side.
Kuusela lands a jab-cross combination.
Pernambucano fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kuusela keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anderson Pernambucano. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kuusela throws a hook but Pernambucano avoids it easily.
Kuusela throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pernambucano closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kuusela circles away.
Kuusela throws a hook to the side of Pernambucano's head but Pernambucano sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Pernambucano walks straight into a right hand from Kuusela - that's dropped him! Kuusela jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Pernambucano from any more punishment! Pernambucano complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
