The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doyle tries to close the distance and clinch but Chakovsky swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Chakovsky looks to throw the jab but Doyle is out of range.
Doyle fails with an attempt to clinch.
Doyle fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chakovsky avoids it really well and circles away.
Chakovsky misses with a looping right.
Doyle has a takedown stuffed.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chakovsky scores with a jab. Doyle acknowledges it with a nod of the head.


It looks like Leroy Doyle has been cut.

Doyle displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chakovsky throws out the jab.

Doyle moves into the clinch.
Doyle tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Chakovsky just stands there and leans against the cage.

Doyle tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Chakovsky smiles and moves away.
Chakovsky tries to bum rush Doyle with a series of wild strikes but Doyle uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
As Chakovsky backs away, Doyle returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Chakovsky looks to score with a jab to the body but Doyle is just out of range.
Doyle tries to clinch but Chakovsky is having none of it.
Chakovsky misses with a series of wild punches.

Doyle moves out of range of the strikes.
Chakovsky throws a lazy right hand but Doyle sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Chakovsky misses with a straight left.
Chakovsky swings widly with a right hand
and Doyle counters with a body kick that stops Chakovsky in his tracks momentarily.
Doyle fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Chakovsky is out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Doyle moves into the clinch.

Doyle has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Chakovsky uses from the top position.
Chakovsky seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Doyle has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Chakovsky can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Doyle could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Let's hope that Chakovsky has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Doyle not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Doyle pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Doyle tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A countering left hand to the body from Chakovsky misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Doyle looks for a takedown but Chakovsky sprawls well.

That's time! Doyle's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

A punch lands to the side of Doyle 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Doyle tries to clinch but Chakovsky moves out of range.
Chakovsky wants to clinch up but Doyle keeps it at a distance.
Chakovsky is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Chakovsky throws a hook but Doyle blocks it.

Doyle closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Doyle lands in his opponent's guard.

Chakovsky has his feet on Doyle's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Doyle is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chakovsky lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Doyle head around and knocks him out cold! Chakovsky hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Yuri Chakovsky!
An out of breath Yuri Chakovsky thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
