Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Noob Saibot (ranked 655 p4p, 92 weight class) and Jason Rage (ranked 550 p4p, 83 weight class). Rage has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 39 - 16 - 1, fighting out of New York, Noob Saibot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Rage!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rage throws a front kick that sends Saibot stumbling back into the cage.

Saibot pushes Rage up against the cage in a clinch.
Saibot misses with a short punch on the inside.
A nice left hand lands by Saibot.
Rage swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Rage tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Rage misses with a hook to the ribs.
Rage goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Saibot blocking some punches.
Saibot misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Saibot blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Saibot misses with a punch on the inside.
Rage's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rage has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Rage wants a takedown but no success here.
Saibot misses with the head strike.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Rage.
Rage misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Saibot has a couple of punches blocked by Rage.
Saibot blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Rage can't find room to land a body shot as Saibot controls the action.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rage creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

A left hand lands to the body for Saibot.
Saibot lands with a left to the head.
Saibot lands with a short shot to the head.
Saibot tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Rage's elbow.
Rage prevents a body shot from Saibot.
Rage lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Saibot backwards.
Saibot doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Rage blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Saibot throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Rages head.
Saibot misses with a body punch.
Rage misses with a punch on the inside.
Rage has had enough of the clinch but Saibot keeps him there for the moment.
Rage pushes Saibot back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Rage gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rage lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Rage is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Saibot sees it coming and defends easily.
Rage seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Rage has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Rage is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Rage is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Saibot blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rage.

Rage looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Saibot with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Rage throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Rage thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Saibot's head.
Saibot avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Rage.
Rage thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Rage throwing shots but Saibot is blocking nicely.
Ground and pound from Rage.

Rage is thwarting Saibot's attempts to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rage throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rage is nestled in close to Saibot, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Rage tries to pass the half guard into mount. Saibot knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rage lands a nice short elbow.
Rage passes to full mount!
Rage thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

It looks like Noob Saibot has been cut.
Rage connects with a bit shot that sees Saibot covering up! More strikes from Rage and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Rage is our winner by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jason Rage!
Jason Rage decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
