Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Gunz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vlas Golubev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunz clinches up against the cage.
Golubev wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Golubev wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gunz turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Gunz manages to end up in side control.
Gunz throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Golubev works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Gunz thows a huge punch but Golubev dodges it nicely.
Gunz is trying to control the action in half guard but Golubev is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Golubev has hold of Gunz's hands but Gunz slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Golubev is trying to maintain the position but Gunz is very close to passing his half guard.

Gunz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Golubev on the ground.
Gunz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Golubev swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gunz checks a leg kick.

Gunz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gunz lands a big uppercut and Golubev crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Golubev looks OK.
Gunz winds up and cracks Golubev with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Gunz seems to be working for a kimura but Golubev defends the submission attempt.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gunz connects with a nice short shot to Golubev's temple.

Golubev has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gunz is working away from the top position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Gunz wants to clinch.
Gunz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Gunz thows a huge punch but Golubev dodges it nicely.

Gunz tries to stand but can't do so whilst Golubev controls his leg.
Gunz wants to pass the guard but Golubev is defending well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gunz wants to stand but Golubev has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

That's time! Gunz's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Golubev throws a hook but Gunz blocks it.
Golubev shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gunz as he avoids it easily.
Golubev tries to clinch but Gunz is having none of it.

Gunz stands up from Golubev's guard - Gunz perhaps looking for a knockout.

Gunz darts in and clinches Golubev up against the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Gunz is trying to trip Golubev. He has hold of a leg but Golubev is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Gunz persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gunz wants to control from the top but Golubev keeps moving.

Gunz decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Golubev, up you get!
