The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Sinbad does no damage.
Sinbad tries to score with a low kick but Blackwell moves his leg out of the way.
Blackwell avoids the head kick by Sinbad.
Sinbad looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Blackwell is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Sinbad.

Sinbad throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Sinbad drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Sinbad throws a sloppy head kick and Blackwell moves out of range easily.
Blackwell half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Sinbad throws a half hearted mid kick.
Blackwell seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Sinbad throws a wild body kick that Blackwell sees coming a mile off.

and Blackwell counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Blackwell shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sinbad is trying to defend but Blackwell finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Sinbad tries to kick Blackwell off in order to stand up. Blackwell Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Blackwell has control of an arm but Sinbad manages to advance to Blackwell's back!
Sinbad doesn't have the hooks in and Blackwell manages to turn into his guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sinbad holds on and takes a little breather.

Sinbad seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Sinbad really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blackwell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Blackwell pushes down on Sinbad's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Sinbad has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Blackwell is on him like a limpet, forcing Sinbad back against the cage.

Sinbad is fighting off a takedown attempt but Blackwell is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Sinbad to the mat. Sinbad regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Blackwell tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sinbad paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sinbad swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Sinbad scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

and Blackwell counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sinbad throws a shot from downtown. Blackwell moves away and avoids it.
Blackwell is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Sinbad.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Blackwell enables Sinbad to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Blackwell manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Blackwell is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Sinbad has his hands clasped together but Blackwell extends and breaks Sinbad's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Blackwell.
