Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Revan Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Bronzon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bronzon has chosen Racionais mc's - Vida loka parte 2 as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bronzon shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bronzon showed some decent athleticism there.
Bronzon wants to stand but Gracie has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Bronzon wants to take a breather but Gracie is having none of it.
Bronzon prevents Gracie from improving his position.
Bronzon wants to free his trapped foot but Gracie is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Bronzon is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bronzon wants to pass the guard but Gracie is defending well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Gracie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Bronzon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gracie wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Bronzon is not content to let Gracie control the position.
Gracie is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bronzon is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Bronzon wants to get back to full guard.

Gracie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bronzon throws a strike from the bottom but Gracie passes into side control!
Gracie tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Bronzon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gracie tries to advance to mount but Bronzon denies him.
Bronzon looking for a sweep but Gracie has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Bronzon is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie has control of Bronzon's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bronzon regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Bronzon tries to reverse the position but Gracie maintains control.
Gracie wants to take Bronzon's back here but Bronzon is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Bronzon is in all sorts of trouble here.

Gracie can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bronzon is looking to escape.

Gracie moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Bronzon has worked his arm free - good work by Bronzon!

Gracie goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Bronzon rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Gracie's guard! Nice work there by Bronzon!
Bronzon connects with a couple of short punches.
Bronzon wants to stand but Gracie is controlling his posture from full guard.
Bronzon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gracie is pulling down on Bronzon's head to control his posture.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Revan Gracie will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Gracie gets a takedown into half guard.
Bronzon is looking for a sweep. Gracie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Gracie perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Bronzon manages to get to full guard.
Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Bronzon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bronzon is breathing heavily.

Bronzon working a defensive guard but Gracie passes into half guard.
Gracie is trying to control the action in half guard but Bronzon is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Gracie prevents Bronzon from improving his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bronzon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gracie keeps the fight on the outside.

Gracie closes the distance and clinches up with Bronzon, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes Bronzon against the cage but Bronzon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gracie tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Bronzon makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Bronzon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Gracie counters by clinching up.
Gracie tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Bronzon is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Gracie gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Gracie has Bronzon pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bronzon manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Revan Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gracie tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Gracie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bronzon walks away with a smile on his face. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Gracie fails with an attempt to clinch.

and Gracie counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bronzon's guard now.

Gracie controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Gracie passes Bronzon's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Gracie in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Bronzon tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Gracie!
