PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Black Coleman (ranked 2182 p4p, 283 weight class) and Kisame Hoshigaki (ranked 2614 p4p, 326 weight class). Hoshigaki has chosen HMMM! as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Black Coleman has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Black Coleman seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 25 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Black Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kisame Hoshigaki!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hoshigaki manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Coleman throws out a loose jab but Hoshigaki uses good head movement to avoid it.
Coleman throws a body punch but Hoshigaki moves out of range.

and Hoshigaki counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Coleman is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Hoshigaki's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Coleman ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Coleman pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Hoshigaki back to the cage. Coleman follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Hoshigaki steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Coleman.
Hoshigaki avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hoshigaki appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Hoshigaki tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Coleman was well out of range. Poor timing from Hoshigaki.
Hoshigaki has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Coleman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hoshigaki swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Coleman closes the distance and clinches.
Hoshigaki pushes off an throws an elbow but Coleman leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Our sources have told us that Coleman has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Come on Hoshigaki - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Hoshigaki can't find room to land a body shot as Coleman controls the action.

Coleman throws a hook but Hoshigaki blocks it.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kisame Hoshigaki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Coleman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Coleman is trying to ground and pound but Hoshigaki uses the momentary lack of control by Coleman to regain half guard.

Well Hoshigaki has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
