Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gerry Zimmerman (ranked 7164 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Cook (ranked 6184 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cook shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Zimmerman's guard.
Cook must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Zimmerman has his hands on Cook's head, controlling the position.
Cook throws a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cook slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cook throws a strike but Zimmerman rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Zimmerman darts in and clinches Cook up against the cage.

Zimmerman's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Zimmerman drops down looking for an ankle pick but Cook pulls his leg out and moves away.

The crowd cheers as Cook lands an impressive looking overhand right. Zimmerman doesn't seem phased though.
