Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Lowe (ranked 4285 p4p, 487 weight class) and Andrei Katchenko (ranked 4632 p4p, 523 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lowe blocks a head kick by Katchenko.
Lowe throwing a counter right hand but Katchenko manages to avoid it.
Lowe definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Katchenko closes the distance and clinches.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Lowe.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Lowe.
Katchenko tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Lowe misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Lowe can't find room to land a body shot as Katchenko controls the action.
A left hand lands to the body for Lowe.
Lowe prevents a body shot from Katchenko.
Nice body punch from Lowe.
Katchenko struggles to land a body shot inside as Lowe controls his hands.

Lowe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lowe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Katchenko looks to throw a body kick
and Lowe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Katchenko throws a wild body kick that Lowe sees coming a mile off.
Katchenko looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lowe is fending him off so far but Katchenko persists. Nope, Lowe circles away and we're back to standing.

and Lowe counters with a nice right hand that sends Katchenko toppling to the canvas! Katchenko scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Lowe finish him?!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lowe closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Katchenko out cold! Katchenko corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
