The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dickerson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wright looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Wright drives through with a takedown into guard.
Dickerson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wright manages to get himself to full guard.

Dickerson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Wright really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dickerson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dickerson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wright manages to get himself to full guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dickerson feints a jab promting Wright to slip. Dickerson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Wright slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Dickerson throws a series of punches but Wright avoids them all with ease.

and Dickerson counters with a left and a right that stings Wright.

Dickerson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Dickerson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Wright has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Dickerson looks to land a body kick but Wright moved away.
Dickerson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Dickerson is working the combinations to good effect here.

The strikes coming from Wright are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Wright is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Dickerson stands up and beckons Wright to join him on the feet.

Wright shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Wright was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Wright is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dickerson.

Dickerson manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Wright keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Wright paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Dickerson - great work!
