Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Owusu (ranked 3027 p4p, 303 weight class) and Hans Hammar (ranked 5467 p4p, 467 weight class). Hans Hammar struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Leonard Owusu has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owusu misses with a body shot.
Owusu looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A slow jab from Owusu misses its intended target.
Owusu throws a lazy body kick
and Hammar counters with a lovely straight right hand!

It looks like Leonard Owusu has been cut.
Owusu moves out of range as Hammar strikes.
Owusu throws a right and a left that Hammar avoids nicely.
Owusu fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hammar has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Owusu lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hammar at a distance.
A shot to the liver by Owusu. Beautiful body shot.
Owusu closes the distance and lands a one-two.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hammar has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hammar there as he acknowledges the shot.
Hammar takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Nice defenses there by Owusu.

Owusu fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hammar is out of range.

Owusu misses with a wild combination.
Owusu connects with a right hand. Hammar shakes it off.
Hammar loads up on a big right hand but Owusu slips the punch.
Owusu swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Owusu is looking to wear down Hammar with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Owusu connects with a nice looking jab.
Owusu smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Owusu digs a good hook to Hammar's body.
Owusu misses the shot to the body.
Owusu drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Owusu throws a lazy uppercut
and Hammar counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hammar throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hammar has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Owusu.
Owusu misses with a shot to the body
and Hammar counters with a stiff right hand.

and Hammar rattles Owusu with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Owusu tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Hammar dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Owusu stiff and motionless on the mat!
