Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Bishop (ranked 821 p4p, 91 weight class) and Johny Vargas (ranked 2038 p4p, 212 weight class). Bishop's entrance music is Ghetts - Artillery. A fine choice. Vargas is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Drake - Trophies. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bishop connects with a nice short shot to Vargas's temple.

Vargas is refusing to be controlled, as Bishop sits in half guard.

Vargas has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Bishop is on him like a limpet, forcing Vargas back against the cage.
Vargas has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Vargas misses with a knee to the head.
