The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
GnomaSs tries for a takedown but Sweet sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

GnomaSs rushes Sweet and presses him up against the cage.
GnomaSs lands on the inside with an uppercut.
GnomaSs is pushing Sweet up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

GnomaSs manages to break the clinch.
GnomaSs throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sweet's waist but Sweet gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing GnomaSs off to one side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A bone on bone clash there as Sweet blocks the leg kick.

GnomaSs moves into the clinch.
GnomaSs wants a takedown but no success here.
Prince Sweet has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of WhyKing GnomaSs.

A bit of stalling here from Sweet.
Sweet unloads a knee to the mid-section. GnomaSs lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Sweet is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Sweet lands a nice uppercut.

GnomaSs breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Sweet gets tackled into the cage by GnomaSs. GnomaSs maintains the clinch.
GnomaSs blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
GnomaSs keeps control of Sweet as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Sweet really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sweet goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sweet tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
GnomaSs blocks a body shot from Sweet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

WhyKing GnomaSs dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

GnomaSs has closed the distance and engaged Sweet in a clinch.

GnomaSs's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sweet goes for a double leg but GnomaSs avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as GnomaSs continues to drive forward.
GnomaSs shoots in for a takedown but Sweet shows good takedown defense.

Sweet fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging GnomaSs to the ground. Sweet is now in GnomaSs's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
GnomaSs is working for takedown but Sweet is calmly controlling the position for now.

GnomaSs breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Sweet drives through and clinches with GnomaSs against the cage.

Sweet shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts GnomaSs as he jumps to the side.

GnomaSs changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
GnomaSs slaps away a takedown attempt from Sweet, before circling back to the center of the mat.

GnomaSs closes the distance and clinches up with Sweet, looking for a takedown. GnomaSs pushes Sweet against the cage but Sweet circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
It looked like Sweet was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sweet is defended easily by GnomaSs.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Prince Sweet.
I think Sweet has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
