The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyd throws a sloppy head kick and Dickerson moves out of range easily.

Boyd shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Dickerson is looking for a sweep. Boyd is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Boyd tries to pass the half guard into mount. Dickerson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Boyd lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Dickerson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Boyd tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Boyd lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boyd goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Dickerson is on top in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dickerson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Dickerson closes the distance and clinches.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Boyd fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dickerson to the ground. Boyd is now in Dickerson's guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Boyd connects with a nice short shot to Dickerson's temple.

Boyd closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dickerson did well to prevent Boyd getting side control.

Boyd lands a big elbow - Dickerson is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Boyd!
