Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roosevelt Lindsey (ranked 24989 p4p, 0 weight class) and Troy Freeman (ranked 6233 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Roosevelt Lindsey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Troy Freeman!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Freeman clinches up with Lindsey and pushes him back against the cage.
Lindsey stalling against the cage.
Lindsey tries to land knees in the clinch but Freeman avoids the damage to the body.

Freeman has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Lindsey clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Even with his hooks in, Freeman manages to miss with strikes from the back.

Freeman is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Lindsey defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Lindsey trying to get back to his feet but Freeman is in full control for now.

Lindsey looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Lindsey tries to roll but Freeman sticks to his back.

Lindsey defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Freeman's arms.
Lindsey trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Lindsey tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Lindsey is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Freeman is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lindsey has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Lindsey tries to hold on but Freeman pushes him away.
Lindsey is desperately trying to improve his position but Freeman has a good base and remains in mount.
Lindsey holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Freeman tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Lindsey wants to control but Freeman is having none of it.
Lindsey is wriggling around trying to escape.
Lindsey wants to hold on but Freeman pushes him away.
Lindsey avoids a series of strikes thrown by Freeman.
Lindsey manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Lindsey tries to clinch up but Freeman circles away and keeps his distance.

Freeman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Freeman showed some decent athleticism there.
Lindsey is looking to control Freeman's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lindsey avoid being mounted?
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lindsey is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lindsey wants to control but Freeman is keeping busy.
Lindsey manages to get to full guard.
Freeman trying to control the position from guard on top but Lindsey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Lindsey is trying to control the position but Freeman postures up.
Lindsey pulls Freeman in close to prevent any damage.
Freeman wants to control from the top but Lindsey keeps moving.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Troy Freeman dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Lindsey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Freeman instigates a clinch.
Lindsey misses with a hook to the ribs.
Freeman has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Freeman is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lindsey can't fight it off and eventually Freeman manages to take the fight to the floor. Lindsey looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lindsey has Freeman pulled in close to control his posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Freeman's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Lindsey will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Freeman throwing strikes from guard but Lindsey blocks nicely.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Freeman. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Freeman keeps the fight on the outside.

Freeman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Freeman in side control, throwing shots but Lindsey defends.

Lindsey fails with an attempt to clinch.

Freeman moves into the clinch.
Lindsey scores a nice knee to the body.

Freeman pulls guard effortlessly.
Freeman working a defensive guard but Lindsey passes into half guard.
Freeman is breathing heavily.
Freeman trying to hold on to Lindsey's head to control him but Lindsey postures up.
Freeman wants to get back to full guard but Lindsey has mounted him!
Freeman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lindsey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lindsey cracks Freeman with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lindsey cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Freeman is desperately trying to improve his position but Lindsey has a good base and remains in mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lindsey misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Lindsey scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Lindsey controlling from the full mount.
Freeman takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Freeman wants to hold on but Lindsey pushes him away.
Lindsey lands a big shot there that rocks Freeman but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Lindsey content just to control the position here.

Lindsey lands a couple of good shots and Freeman has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Lindsey gets caught flat footed, as Freeman shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Lindsey wants to stand and escape but Freeman is having none of it.
Lindsey keeping moving, preventing Freeman from controlling successfully.
Lindsey is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Freeman controlling from the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lindsey not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Freeman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lindsey throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Lindsey not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Freeman keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Freeman holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Freeman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lindsey manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Lindsey pushes Freeman off and scrambles back to his feet.
Freeman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Freeman rushes Lindsey and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Lindsey tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Lindsey effectively controlling the action here.
Lindsey looking for a takedown.
Lindsey putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Freeman in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Freeman is pushing Lindsey up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Lindsey breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Freeman instigates a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lindsey pushes off an throws an elbow but Freeman leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Lindsey pushes Freeman off and gets back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Good work by Freeman as he checks the leg kick.
Freeman avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

And that's the end of the fight!
Roosevelt Lindsey showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Lindsey has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
