Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Napoleon Stewart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cedrick Peterson !
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Peterson closes the distance and pushes Stewart back into the cage.
Stewart tries to pull guard but Peterson holds him up against the cage and eventually Stewart drops back down to his feet.
Peterson struggles to land a body shot inside as Stewart controls his hands.
Stewart stalls.
Peterson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stewart is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Stewart goes for a takedown attempt but Peterson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Peterson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Stewart to the ground. Peterson is now in Stewart's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Peterson looking to sit in guard and control but Stewart gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Peterson holds on and takes a little breather.
Peterson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Stewart is fighting to break Peterson 's control of his arms but Peterson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Stewart postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Stewart postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Stewart is working Peterson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Stewart tries to keep at a distance but Peterson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Stewart tries to pull guard but Peterson holds him up against the cage and eventually Stewart drops back down to his feet.

Stewart jumps guard but Peterson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Peterson wants the takedown. Stewart is fighting it off but Peterson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Stewart's guard against the cage.
Stewart thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Peterson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Stewart is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Stewart had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Peterson defends it easily.
Peterson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Peterson 's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Peterson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Stewart clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Peterson controlling well, preventing Stewart from escaping the position.
Stewart manages to reverse the position and now he's in Peterson 's guard. Nice work there by Stewart.
Peterson is trying to control the position but Stewart postures up.
Peterson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Peterson is looking to stand up but Stewart isn't so interested in that idea.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stewart.

A close second round but Cedrick Peterson will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Peterson gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Come on Stewart - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Stewart jumps guard and drags Peterson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Stewart escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Peterson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Stewart has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Stewart has his foot on Peterson 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Peterson works his way back into a safe position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Stewart is looking to cinch up a triangle. Peterson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Stewart's body to avoid the submission. Stewart has instead reached around Peterson 's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Stewart arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Napoleon Stewart!
