Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Timo Hokkanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Serg Kharitonov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kharitonov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kharitonov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hokkanen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Hokkanen gets a takedown into half guard.
Kharitonov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hokkanen is working away from the top position though.
Hokkanen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Kharitonov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hokkanen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hokkanen shoots in for a takedown but Kharitonov shows good takedown defense.

Kharitonov dances in with a quick combination. Hokkanen is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Kharitonov snaps Hokkanen's head back. Hokkanen stumbles backwards against the cage. Kharitonov steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Hokkanen's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Hokkanen just didn't come prepared.
