Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm Craig (ranked 3034 p4p, 149 weight class) and Ashton Knuckles (ranked 3218 p4p, 167 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ashton Knuckles was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Juggernaut And Gladiators

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Malcolm Craig!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ashton Knuckles!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Craig takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Knuckles throws a head kick that Craig semi-blocks.
Craig throws a body shot but no joy.
A little jabbing left from Knuckles on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Knuckles throws a one two combo.
Knuckles throws a leg kick but Craig sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Knuckles lands a leg kick that knocks Craig off balance momentarily.
Craig slips a jab from Knuckles.

Craig fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Knuckles, pushing him back against the cage.

Knuckles gets control of Craig's arms and successfully pulls guard. Knuckles will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Knuckles looking for a guillotine here but Craig defends easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Knuckles looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Craig would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Craig prevents Knuckles from getting back to his feet.
Knuckles throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Craig wants to stand but Knuckles is controlling his posture from full guard.

Knuckles is looking for a triangle but Craig pushes his legs off easily.
Craig wants to get up but he can't break Knuckles's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Knuckles is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Knuckles has his feet on Craig's thighs here. He's pushed Craig off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Craig screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
