The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruslanov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Magomedov tries to avoid it but Ruslanov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Magomedov to the ground. Magomedov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ruslanov shoots in for a double leg but Magomedov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Magomedov connects with a nice short shot to Ruslanov's temple.

Ruslanov goes for a double leg but Magomedov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Magomedov continues to drive forward.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Ruslanov enables Magomedov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ruslanov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
