The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Hitter!
A swing and a miss from Smith.
Hitter uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smith.
Hitter tries to clinch up but Smith circles away and keeps his distance.

Smith looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Smith is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Smith drops back looking for a leg! Hitter is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hitter manages to kick Smith off! Smith jumps back into Hitter's guard.
Hitter is looking to stand up but Smith isn't so interested in that idea.
Smith passes Hitter's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Smith is looking for a kimura but Hitter is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Smith to get the leverage.
Hitter wants to get back to his feet.

Smith is working for a submission of some sort.
Hitter is trying to stand.

Smith has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Hitter defend it? Smith steps over the head and cranks it - Hitter is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Smith!
