Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valentine feints a jab promting Franco to slip. Valentine then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Franco slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Franco pushes Valentine up against the cage in a clinch.
Franco turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Franco tries to move into full mount but can't pass Valentine's legs.
Franco is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Valentine knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Valentine manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Franco is looking to improve his position.
Valentine is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Franco is just riding it out for now. Valentine eventually gives up the hold.
Valentine is looking for a kimura here.
Franco is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Valentine pulls his head out easily.

Franco is trying to get back to full guard.
Franco looks like he's trying to stand up.
Valentine missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Valentine lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Valentine is looking for a kimura but Franco is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Valentine to get the leverage.
Franco is looking to improve his position.
Valentine is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Franco is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

In his post fight interview, Corwin Valentine started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
