Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pa‘Akea Built (ranked 585 p4p, 59 weight class) and Hideo Sakurai (ranked 1713 p4p, 193 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Sakurai's choice of entrance music: Red Warrior. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakurai misses with a hook. Built ducked under it nicely.
Sakurai rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Built counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A chopping leg kick lands by Built.

Sakurai has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Sakurai closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Pa‘Akea Built has been cut.
Sakurai walks forward, straight into a front kick from Built.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Built shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Built throws a body kick that misses
letting Sakurai counter with a right hand.

Built has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Sakurai might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Built is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sakurai.
