The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowen takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Makebono Bowen has been cut.
Lyons circles away from the clinch attempt

and Lyons counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bowen won't be happy with that.
Bowen is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lyons asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Bowen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lyons. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lyons lands a nice forearm strike.
Bowen tries to escape but Lyons is in control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lyons connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Bowen some visible discomfort.
Bowen is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Lyons cracks Bowen with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Lyons lands a huge shot from side control! Bowen is out cold! This one is all over!
