Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacks Sole (ranked 29 p4p, 6 weight class) and Buzz Bixby (ranked 149 p4p, 21 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
26 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jacks Sole!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buzz Bixby!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bixby throws the left hand but Sole avoids the punch easily.
Sole has been working on his boxing with his coaches at White Eagle in the buildup to the fight.
Sole with a nice cross.
Bixby takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Sole misses with a looping left.
Bixby moves out of range of the body kick from Sole.
Sole misses with a wild body shot.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bixby has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Sole throws a body punch but Bixby moves out of range.
Sole cracks the inside of Bixby's front leg.
Bixby moves out of range as Sole throws a body kick.
And Bixby tries to counter it with a takedown but Sole pushes his down on his head and steps out.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sole ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Bixby uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sole.
Bixby is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Jacks Sole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bixby bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Sole swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bixby takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Sole swings for the body but Bixby moves out of range.
Bixby feints the counter takedown.
Sole lands a head shot.
Sole throws a nice looking combination but Bixby bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

And Bixby tries to counter it with a takedown but Sole pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Sole pivots, looking for a leg kick but Bixby is out of range and Sole settles back down.

Bixby thows a left - swing and a miss!

Sole punishes Bixby's body with a nice straight punch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sole swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Bixby shoots in looking for a takedown. Sole tries to sprawl out of it but Bixby keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sole manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bixby takes a swing at Sole's ribcage but misses.
Sole swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Sole's jab looks to have found its range, popping Bixby under the eye.
Nice straight punches there by Sole. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sole.
Sole misses with a leg kick
and Bixby decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sole's guard.
Sole is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bixby is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Sole is pulling down on Bixby's head to control his posture.
Bixby sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sole's guard.

Sole has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bixby is working away from the top position though.

Bixby thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Sole on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Bixby not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Sole wants to get back to full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bixby is still trying to improve position.
Bixby throwing shots but Sole is blocking nicely.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Sole pivots, looking for a leg kick but Bixby is out of range and Sole settles back down.
Bixby darts in looking for a takedown but Sole gets double underhooks and turns Bixby into the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jacks Sole dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

A looping hook to the body misses from Bixby. Sole does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bixby works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Bixby closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bixby lands in his opponent's guard.
Sole is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Sole wants to hit a switch here but Bixby passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Sole there!

Sole is looking to get to half guard.
Sole tries to hold on but Bixby pushes him away.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bixby cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
