Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shoei Braz (ranked 2514 p4p, 333 weight class) and Iosue Nicu (ranked 1093 p4p, 157 weight class). Nicu comes into a darkened arena with his song building. It's Dark and Hell Is Hot kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Shoei Braz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 16 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shoei Braz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 4 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Iosue Nicu!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braz goes for a double leg but Nicu avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Nicu continues to drive forward.
Nicu turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Nicu tests Braz's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Braz tries for a takedown but Nicu circles away easily
enabling Nicu to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Shoei Braz has been cut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Braz.
Nicu doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shoei Braz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Braz fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Nicu lands the left hand.
Nicu stuffs the takedown attempt from Braz. Braz gets slowly back to his feet.
Braz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nicu sprawls well. Nicu wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Braz gets slowly back to his feet.
A little jabbing left from Nicu on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Braz shoots and misses
and Nicu counters with a straight right hand.
Nicu throws a head kick that half lands.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Braz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nicu tries to avoid it but Braz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nicu to the ground. Nicu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nicu shapes to counter with a head kick.
Braz is breathing heavily.
Braz gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Nicu counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Braz dives in and grabs Nicu's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nicu pushes down on Braz's head and hops out.
Braz sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Nicu lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Braz at a distance.
A nice inside leg kick there by Nicu. That's going to slow Braz down.
Braz stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Nicu.
Nicu throws a nice outside leg kick.
Shoei Braz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nicu lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Braz shoots in looking for a takedown but Nicu manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Braz's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Braz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nicu defends it nicely.
Nicu connects with a good right hand that stumbles Braz. Braz circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Shoei Braz's cut is getting worse.
Braz dives in and grabs Nicu's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nicu pushes down on Braz's head and hops out.

Nicu lands a big head kick that sends Braz tumbling to the mat! Nicu takes a step backwards and waves Braz back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Braz is rocked!
Braz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nicu throws a pinpoint strike between Braz's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Braz crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Nicu scores a great knockout victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Iosue Nicu!
A very excited looking Iosue Nicu made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
In defeat, Shoei Braz stepped up to the mic, saying 'I`ll be back'.
