PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dominique Bell (ranked 968 p4p, 99 weight class) and Mick Mulvaney (ranked 3002 p4p, 271 weight class). Mulvaney comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Rocky Road To Dublin kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bell dives in and grabs Mulvaney's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mulvaney pushes down on Bell's head and hops out.
Mulvaney throws a nice looking combination but Bell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mulvaney fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bell looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Bell closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Bell is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mulvaney to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mulvaney shrugs it off.

Bell shoots for a double leg takedown but Mulvaney sprawls well. He's pushed Bell's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Mulvaney shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bell eats them both and turns towards Mulvaney to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Mulvaney throws a series of punches but Bell avoids them all with ease.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
