Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boy fails with an attempt to clinch.
Fernandes pulls out of a head kick attempt.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Fernandes enables Boy to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fernandes manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Boy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boy shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fernandes's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Fernandes shoots in looking for a takedown but Boy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fernandes's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Boy is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Fernandes will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Boy decides to stand back up. Boy steps back and let's Fernandes get back to his feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Fernandes drops down looking for an ankle pick but Boy pulls his leg out and moves away.
Big Boy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of MIke Fernandes.
Boy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fernandes swivels and escapes.

Boy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fernandes avoids it really well and circles away.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Boy tries to close the distance and clinch but Fernandes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A nice side step and Fernandes releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Fernandes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Boy tries to avoid it but Fernandes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Boy to the ground. Boy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Boy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fernandes.

I would just about give that final round to MIke Fernandes.
I think Fernandes has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
