The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bender throws a head kick but Sears moves out of range.
A counter left hand to the body from Sears misses its target.
Bender misses with a body shot.
Bender lands a jab to Sears's midsection.
Bender lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Bender rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sears moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Sears counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sears.

Bender stalks Sears and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sears's face. Sears staggers backwards, shaken.
Dragan Bender is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Bender misses with a hook. Sears ducked under it nicely.
Sears tries to counter by clinching up but Bender breaks away and moves out of range.
Bender displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sears.

Horrible takedown attempt by Sears or perhaps it was just good defense by Bender, which made it look bad.
Sears really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bender has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Bender thuds a left hand into Sears's body.

As Bender tries to get set, Sears tries to push him back and clinch up but Bender manages to avoid the attempt.
Sears closes the distance and clinches.

Bender does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

A frustrated look appears on Bender's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Sears slips a jab and a cross from Bender.

Bender pivots, looking for a leg kick but Sears is out of range and Bender settles back down.
Sears shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bender as he jumps to the side.
Bender finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Bender swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sears moves into the clinch.
Sears has Bender pushed against the cage.
Sears successfully pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bender is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Sears has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Bender is looking to defend but Sears has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Bender! Sears pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Bender taps out and this one is all over!
