Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Bangsit (ranked 1438 p4p, 197 weight class) and Evan Payton (ranked 4342 p4p, 500 weight class). Evan Payton has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Andy Bangsit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Evan Payton!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bangsit uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Payton.
Payton with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Payton looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bangsit attempts a counter takedown but Payton avoids it well and moves away.

Bangsit drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Bangsit is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Payton has escaped the position, nice work there.

Bangsit is trying to get an arm triangle but Payton is defending well.
Bangsit looks up at the clock and then as Payton takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bangsit smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Bangsit takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Payton has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Payton is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bangsit defends it well.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Payton. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Evan Payton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Bangsit shoots for a double leg takedown but Payton sprawls well. He's pushed Bangsit's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Bangsit jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Payton walks away with a smile on his face. Bangsit gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Evan Payton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Payton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bangsit was well out of range. Poor timing from Payton.
Bangsit takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Danga de danga de dang - Payton scores with a four punch combination!


Bangsit is rocked!
Bangsit tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Payton defends well and Bangsit ends up having to push Payton into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Payton bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Bangsit! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Oh Bangsit is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Payton postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Payton decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bangsit, up you get!
Payton throws out a loose jab but Bangsit uses good head movement to avoid it.
Evan Payton seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Payton cracks Bangsit with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Bangsit falls to his knees and Payton doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Evan Payton!
