The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Requis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Requis misses with a series of wild punches.
Requis getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Requis thows a left - swing and a miss!
Zaad misses with a body shot.
Zaad lands with a shot to the body.
Requis misses with a wild body shot.
Zaad doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Requis throws a right hand that misses
and Zaad counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Requis missing with a left hand there. Zaad was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Zaad wants to get back to striking at distance but Requis won't allow it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Requis tries to work over Zaad's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Requis will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Zaad up against the cage.
Zaad has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Requis prevents Zaad from breaking the clinch.
Requis can't find room to land a body shot as Zaad controls the action.

Requis digs a right hand into Zaad's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Zaad's gas tank.
Requis has a couple of punches blocked by Zaad.
Zaad is looking to break free of the clinch but Requis has double underhooks.
Zaad makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Zaad scores with a hook to the body.

Requis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zaad walks into a jab.
Requis misses with a jab, cross combination.
Requis throws a shot from downtown. Zaad moves away and avoids it.
Requis doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Requis misses with a wild combination.
Chara Zaad is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Zaad thuds a left hand into Requis's body.
Nice shot lands for Requis.

Zaad takes a swing at Requis's ribcage but misses.
Requis lands a slapping body shot.
Zaad blocks a jab.
A shot to the liver by Zaad. Beautiful body shot.
Requis misses with a combination
and Zaad counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Requis feints a jab promting Zaad to slip. Requis then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Zaad slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Zaad lands a really nice looking cross but Requis seems unphased.
The Requis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zaad connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Requis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zaad swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Zaad misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Requis.
Zaad scores with a crisp jab that stopped Requis in his tracks.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Requis wants to clinch up but Zaad keeps it at a distance.

Requis is breathing heavily.

and Zaad counters with a left and a right that stings Requis.
No joy there for Requis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Zaad will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Requis is rocked!
Zaad darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Requis's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Zaad before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
