The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonard shoots in and drives through. Peterson sprawls well.

Peterson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Leonard to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Leonard wants to control from the top but Peterson keeps moving.
Leonard works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Peterson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Leonard on the ground.
Leonard tries to pass to full mount but Peterson defends it.
Leonard passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Peterson!

Leonard is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Leonard extends the arm and Peterson is forced to tap!
