PBP Commentary

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rajon Dal Garin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antonio Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dal Garin lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Sanchez has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Sanchez and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Sanchez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Dal Garin scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Sanchez manages to mount him!
Dal Garin is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Dal Garin's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Sanchez get's back to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dal Garin enables Sanchez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dal Garin manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Dal Garin is wriggling around but Sanchez manages to pass to half guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Dal Garin wants to clinch but Sanchez slips to the side
and Sanchez counters with a straight right hand.

Dal Garin is looking to get back to is feet but Sanchez passes into side control.
Dal Garin is breathing heavily.

Dal Garin is trying to buck Sanchez off.
Sanchez tries to move to mount but Dal Garin blocks the move with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanchez has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Dal Garin regains guard immediately.

Dal Garin is looking for a triangle but Sanchez pushes his legs off easily.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Dal Garin manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Dal Garin wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Sanchez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Sanchez clinches with his opponent.

Sanchez has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Dal Garin clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

A bit of a pause in the action here. Sanchez controlling the positon.

Sanchez won't let Dal Garin get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Antonio Sanchez has got the better of the ground game so far.

Sanchez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
We've been informed that Sanchez has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Sanchez is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Dal Garin is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Dal Garin flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Sanchez anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Dal Garin and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Sanchez slips an arm under Dal Garin chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Sanchez has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Sanchez is squeezing on Dal Garin like an anaconda would it's prey. Dal Garin fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Antonio Sanchez!
