PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Clark Kent (ranked 1111 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mister Island (ranked 854 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Clark Kent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mister Island!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Island keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Island has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Island on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Kent definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Good exchange - Kent coming out on top.
Sloppy strikes from Kent. Those never looked like landing.
Island tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kent defends well and Island ends up having to push Kent into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Kent lands with a nice body punch.
Island fails with the takedown
and Kent counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kent throws a body punch but Island moves out of range.
Island tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Island shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kent but Kent pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Clark Kent has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mister Island.
A punch lands to the side of Island 's head but he takes it in his stride.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Island dives in and grabs Kent's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kent pushes down on Island's head and hops out.
Island shoots in looking for a takedown. Kent tries to sprawl out of it but Island keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kent manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Island on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Kent cracks Island with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Kent has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Island to stand back up!
Island gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kent.

Island is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kent lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Island - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Kent!
