These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Valhall looks to throw the jab but Mendez is out of range.

Mendez tries to clinch up but Valhall circles away and keeps his distance.
Mendez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Valhall connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Mendez tumbling to the canvas! Valhall pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Mendez was done - good stoppage!
