PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Randy Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Savage comes to the cage accompanied by OH YEAH!!!. Anderson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Simon Says kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! On his way into the cage it seems that Randy Savage has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Randy Savage seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Randy Savage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mason Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by Anderson.
Savage waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Anderson.
Savage throws a right hand that Anderson ducks under and follows up with a left that Anderson also avoids with ease.
Randy Savage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Savage swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Anderson scores with a nice head shot.
Anderson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Savage. Savage circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Anderson scores with a sloppy right hand. Savage should have avoided that one.

Anderson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Anderson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Savage looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Savage looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Savage!

Anderson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Savage's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Savage's back!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Anderson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Savage looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Savage is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Anderson asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Anderson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Savage, who protects the arm well.
I wouldn't like to be where Savage is right now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Savage tries to escape but Anderson is in control.

Savage is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well Anderson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
