Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Moriarty (ranked 6221 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jessi Quick (ranked 6177 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jessi Quick!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moriarty changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Quick looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Quick explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Moriarty misses with a straight right.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Quick is defended easily by Moriarty.
Moriarty defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Quick.
Sloppy strikes from Quick. Those never looked like landing.
Moriarty misses with a looping right.
A big right from Moriarty misses.
And Quick tries to counter it with a takedown but Moriarty pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Moriarty feints and as Quick raises his hands in defense, Moriarty changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Moriarty has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Moriarty is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Moriarty content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Moriarty will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Moriarty keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Quick's head.

Moriarty lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Moriarty seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Moriarty lands strikes from half guard.

Quick looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Moriarty is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Moriarty slips a nice elbow through Quick's hands, connecting with Quick's forehead.

Quick is rocked!
Moriarty takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Moriarty has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Christopher Moriarty overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Quick seems to have recovered his senses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moriarty not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Moriarty gets to his feet and stands over Quick, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Quick felt that one! Moriarty unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Quick from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Christopher Moriarty!
