Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Meida (ranked 2927 p4p, 95 weight class) and Sven Kristian Nielsen (ranked 4151 p4p, 134 weight class). Nielsen has chosen Wardruna - Fehu as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sven Kristian Nielsen!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meida bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nielsen walks into a jab.
Nielsen misses with a series of wild punches.
Thiago Meida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Nielsen.
Meida lands with a straight right. Nielsen didn't see that one coming.
Nielsen staying out of range there.
Nielsen just misses with a punch to the body.
Meida jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Nielsen misses with a wild body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nielsen takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Nielsen avoids the head kick by Meida.

The fighters circling - Meida throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Nielsen connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Meida momentarily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Meida throws a hook but Nielsen avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nielsen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Nielsen wants to pass to mount but Meida is defending the position.
Meida wants to control but Nielsen is keeping busy.
Nielsen scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nielsen is keen to just control but Meida is a slippery customer.
Nielsen is pressing down on Meida's thigh, looking to free his foot. Meida is holding on for now.
Nielsen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Meida taking some punishment here, with Nielsen in his half guard.
Nielsen frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Nielsen looking to control but Meida is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Meida knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nielsen on the ground.
Meida in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Nielsen tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nielsen with shots to the head and body - Meida looks very uncomfortable down there.
Meida is rocked!
Nielsen softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Meida is out cold! Nielsen jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sven Kristian Nielsen!
After winning the bout, Sven Kristian Nielsen thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
