And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rafael DeJesus!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baranoski closes this distance looking for a takedown but DeJesus circles away.
DeJesus tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
DeJesus stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.


It looks like Leo Baranoski has been cut.

DeJesus has Baranoski up against the cage in a clinch.

Baranoski works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

DeJesus wriggles free and stands up.
Baranoski fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but DeJesus avoids it really well and circles away.
Baranoski gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and DeJesus counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Baranoski thinking.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leo Baranoski. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Baranoski is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
DeJesus stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and DeJesus wants it to stay on the feet.

DeJesus clinches up against the cage.

DeJesus breaks the clinch.
Baranoski doesn't succeed with the takedown
and DeJesus counters with a lovely straight right hand!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Baranoski takes a shot to the body in his stride.
DeJesus lands with a right that hurts Baranoski. Baranoski looks to clinch but DeJesus throws a short knee that drops Baranoski. This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch and Knee). Rafael DeJesus!
Rafael DeJesus got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
