PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Alpaca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalada Scope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scope has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sammy Alpaca!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kalada Scope!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alpaca ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Alpaca looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Alpaca looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Alpaca is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Scope is in trouble now - Alpaca has advanced to mount!
Alpaca lands a big elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alpaca is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Scope is surviving well by controlling Alpaca's body position as best he can.
The referee warns Scope that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Scope really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alpaca. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Alpaca postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Scope looks a forlorn figure.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Scope has left one of his arms exposed and Alpaca doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Scope screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
