Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between King Branley (ranked 5976 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Bullington (ranked 5984 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jesse Bullington!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bullington throws an overhand right that lands on Branley's shoulder, as Branley tries to avoid the shot.
Branley throws a big counter combination but Bullington scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Bullington wants to clinch up but Branley keeps it at a distance.
Branley could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Branley takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Bullington throws a lazy right hand but Branley sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Branley on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Branley shoots in looking for a takedown. Bullington tries to sprawl out of it but Branley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bullington manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Branley throws a big shot that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bullington throws a right hand that Branley ducks under and follows up with a left that Branley also avoids with ease.
Bullington shoots in for a takedown but Branley shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A counter left hand to the body from Branley misses its target.
Left hook, right uppercut from Branley.
Branley lands a nice looking kick to the body. Bullington takes a step back to recover.

Bullington closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Branley's guard.

Bullington drops back, looking for a kneebar! Branley looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Branley looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Branley!


Branley decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bullington to his feet.
Branley moves forwards but Bullington connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Bullington lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Branley circles away quickly and effectively.
Bullington fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Branley went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
King Branley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesse Bullington.

Branley swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Bullington closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bullington is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Branley breaks from the clinch.

Bullington throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Branley tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bullington is in Branley's guard.
Bullington must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bullington drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Branley manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bullington has Branley in his guard.


Bullington is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Branley gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Branley avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bullington fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bullington misses with a low kick.
Branley is looking to counter with head kicks.
Bullington will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bullington cracks Branley with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Bullington gets caught napping as Branley dives in and scores a takedown. Bullington manages to retain guard.

Bullington pushes Branley off and scrambles back to his feet.
Branley is breathing heavily.
Nice jab there from Bullington.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Branley counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Bullington looks to throw the jab but Branley is out of range.

Bullington fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Branley sprawls well initially but Bullington persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Branley is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bullington scores with a couple of nice shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jesse Bullington dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Branley gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bullington to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Branley manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Bullington takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
No joy there for Bullington, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bullington pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Branley scores with a head kick. Bullington tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Branley fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bullington.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bullington drives through with a takedown into guard.

Bullington drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Branley dives on top into guard.


Bullington has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Branley is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Branley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bullington throws the left hand but Branley avoids the punch easily.
Branley goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Branley takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Bullington is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nice straight punches there by Bullington. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Bullington.
Bullington tries to clinch up but Branley circles away and keeps his distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bullington tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Branley was well out of range. Poor timing from Bullington.

Bullington cracks Branley with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Bullington has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Branley to stand back up!


Branley is rocked!
Bullington throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Branley.
Oh Branley is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bullington cracks Branley on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Branley falls backwards against the cage. Bullington follows up with more strikes that drop Branley to his knees. Bullington keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Branley! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jesse Bullington!
