Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Walter (ranked 7393 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan John (ranked 5922 p4p, 0 weight class). John has chosen Immortal by: J. Cole as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pablo Walter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jordan John!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

John closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Walter did well to prevent John getting side control.

John is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Walter is just riding it out for now. John eventually gives up the hold.
Walter is trying to stand back up but John is controlling him
John controlling the action here.
John is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walter wants to improve his position but John is controlling well.
Walter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Walter moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
John postures up in Walter's guard and throws a big left but Walter blocks it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
John trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Walter will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
John throwing strikes but missing.
John postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
John trying to control the position from guard on top but Walter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Walter pulls John in to control the position.
John trying to control but Walter is working from the bottom.
Walter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Walter is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

John shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walter is trying to stand up here but John is controlling him well.
John winds up and cracks Walter with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
John wants to take a breather but Walter is having none of it.
John working the head and body with strikes.
Walter is staying active underneath John, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
John scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Walter looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Walter wants to control but John passes into side.
John tries to move into full mount but can't pass Walter's legs.
Walter takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.


Walter is rocked!
John scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Walter is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and John can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jordan John!
Jordan John was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
