PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mateuszis Rosiakos (ranked 3070 p4p, 282 weight class) and Lamar Allen (ranked 2498 p4p, 245 weight class). Lamar Allen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mateuszis Rosiakos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lamar Allen!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Allen there as he acknowledges the shot.
Allen lands a nice shot to the body.
Rosiakos looks to score with a jab to the body but Allen is just out of range.
Rosiakos thows a left - swing and a miss!
Rosiakos falls off balance throwing a combination
and Allen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Allen connects with the punch.
Mateuszis Rosiakos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Allen doesn't manage to clinch there - Rosiakos circles away.
A jab from Allen finds it's way through Rosiakos's defenses.
Rosiakos looks to score with a jab to the body but Allen is just out of range.
Allen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Allen pivots, looking for a leg kick but Rosiakos is out of range and Allen settles back down.
Rosiakos throwing a counter right hand but Allen manages to avoid it.
Rosiakos is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Allen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rosiakos throws out the jab.
Rosiakos slips a jab and a cross from Allen.
Rosiakos on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Rosiakos throws a hook to the side of Allen's head but Allen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rosiakos throws a shot to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Allen, as that shot connected.

Rosiakos is rocked!
A thudding body kick lands there by Allen!
Oh Rosiakos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rosiakos is breathing heavily.
Allen scores with a leg kick.
Rosiakos drops his hands momentarily. Allen doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Rosiakos staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Rosiakos doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
