Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jude Buchanan (ranked 24856 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Denissen (ranked 6085 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jude Buchanan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sam Denissen!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Denissen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Buchanan circles away.
Denissen tries for a takedown but Buchanan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Denissen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jude Buchanan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Denissen.
Denissen throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Buchanan counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Buchanan.
Denissen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Buchanan is one step ahead there.
Denissen looking to control but Buchanan passes into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Denissen wants to control but Buchanan is keeping busy.

Buchanan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Denissen sees it coming and defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Denissen is looking for a sweep. Buchanan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Denissen keeps trying to improve his position.
Buchanan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Denissen wants to control but Buchanan is keeping busy.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Denissen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Buchanan is looking for a kimura here.
Buchanan is thwarting Denissen's attempts to control the position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Denissen wants to control but Buchanan passes into side.

Denissen struggling a bit here.

Buchanan tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Denissen holding on.

Buchanan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Buchanan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Buchanan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Denissen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Denissen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Buchanan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Denissen keeps Buchanan under control for a moment.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Buchanan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Denissen as he jumps to the side.
It seemed like Denissen was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Denissen leaves Buchanan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Denissen darts in looking for a takedown but Buchanan gets double underhooks and turns Denissen into the cage.

Buchanan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Denissen circles away.
Denissen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
No luck for Denissen with that takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown attempt by Buchanan or perhaps it was just good defense by Denissen, which made it look bad.

Buchanan tries to pull guard but Denissen won't allow it.

Denissen pushes off an throws an elbow but Buchanan leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Buchanan prevents a takedown attempt there.
Denissen misses with a short punch on the inside.
Buchanan is trying to pull guard but Denissen has him pressed against the cage.
Buchanan gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Denissen.
Denissen tries to break the clinch but Buchanan is controlling the position.
Buchanan is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Denissen to keep the fight standing.
Denissen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Buchanan just stands there and leans against the cage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Buchanan fails to pull guard.
A head punch on the inside from Buchanan fails to land.
Buchanan fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Buchanan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Buchanan moves out of range of the body kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Denissen.
Buchanan thinks about countering with a head kick.
Denissen misses with a takedown attempt - Buchanan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Denissen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Buchanan circles away.

Buchanan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Denissen wants to get back to his feet but Buchanan is dominant here and he's now got Denissen's back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Sam Denissen will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Sam Denissen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Buchanan closes the distance and pushes Denissen back into the cage.

Buchanan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Denissen pulls guard successfully.
Denissen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Buchanan is trying to maintain the position but Denissen is very close to passing his half guard.

Buchanan is doing well to control the position and prevent Denissen from advancing to side control.

Buchanan has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Denissen is on him like a limpet, forcing Buchanan back against the cage.
Buchanan tries to pull guard but Denissen won't allow it.
Buchanan managing to block the knees to the body from Denissen.

Denissen pulls guard effortlessly.
Buchanan content to stall in guard here.

Buchanan preventing the sweep.
Denissen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Buchanan postures up in Denissen's guard and throws a big left but Denissen blocks it.
Denissen controlling Buchanan's posture.
Buchanan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Denissen has momentary wrist control but Buchanan slips an elbow through the middle.

Buchanan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Buchanan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Buchanan clinches up against the cage.
Denissen fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Buchanan has Denissen pressed against the cage, preventing Denissen from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Denissen jumps guard.
Buchanan postures up in Denissen's guard and throws a big left but Denissen blocks it.
Denissen wants to hit a switch here but Buchanan passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Denissen there!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Buchanan lands a couple of good shots and Denissen has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Buchanan misses with punches from the back.
Buchanan connects with a big shot to the side of Denissen's head.
Buchanan is not going to allow Denissen to sit and survive in this position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Buchanan has got one arm under Denissen's chin. This could be trouble... Denissen trying to control the other hand but Buchanan gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Denissen has tapped out! The fight is over!
