The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter throws a combination. Neffgen tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Carter looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Neffgen takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Neffgen is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Carter.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Carter.
Christian Neffgen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab lands there for Carter.
Neffgen has his takedown stuffed
and Carter counters with a two punch combo.
Neffgen on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Neffgen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Neffgen is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Carter moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wayne Carter!
Wayne Carter spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
