The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melim looks for a takedown but Penn sprawls well.

Penn misses with a wild combination.
Penn takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Melim drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Melim drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Melim jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Melim is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Melim drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Melim as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Penn screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Melim! Nice submission victory there!
